Omeo Dance Inc. was founded in 2001 to support the dance development, productions and touring of dancer/choreographer Rosalind Crisp & collaborators.
Omeo Dance was based at Omeo Dance studio, Sydney, which Rosalind founded in the Newtown flour mill in 1996.
In 2002 Rosalind was invited to Paris by Michel Caserta. Rosalind Crisp/Omeo Dance was the Associate Artist of Atelier de Paris-Carolyn Carlson 2004 - 2013.
2001 - 2025 Omeo Dance Inc. produced 25 major productions and toured to over 100 festivals worldwide.
In 2021 with the support of the Australian government RISE Fund, Omeo Dance Inc. established Orbost Studio for Dance Research hosting national & international artist residencies
In 2015 the French Ministry of Culture awarded Rosalind a Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (Knight of the Arts).
In 2025 Creative Australia awarded Rosalind their Creative Australia Award for Dance.
